Arya Kanya Sadan, situated in Faridabad, Haryana is involved in bringing up orphaned girls since 1981. The children get food,clothing, shelter,education, medical aid and other physical-mental-spiritual development in a homely atmosphere. Presently there are 92 girls in the premises,located in the Central sector of Faridabad.
The orphanage run its own primary school up to 5th standard in its premises with qualified teachers for their educational needs.Apart from the children in the school, other girls from weaker economic families are also getting education in the school,free of cost.The children for the higher classes go to the girls Government school and their transportation is arranged by the orphanage. For their educational help, personal tutors are also provided by Arya Kanya Sadan. The results of both (the primary school as well as the students in Government school) are not only satisfactory, but some students also find their names on merit lists.
Sarswati Vedic Sanstha, under whose aegis Arya Kanya Sadan is run, is a society registered under the Societies Registration Act. Arya Kanya Sadan is a voluntary, non-profit making institution with the sole purpose of bringing up destitute girls. None of the office bearers and/or executive members derive any remuneration/charges/fee or other benefits for their services. Children get food, clothing, shelter, education, medical aid and physical-mental-spiritual development in a homely atmosphere. On attaining proper age, they are married with compatible matches. Since its inception, 26 such girls have been married. Presently Arya Kanya Sadan is occupied by 92 girls.
A girl child in the age group of 5-10 years, whose parents are not alive, are admitted. Sometimes, though one of the parents is alive, he/she is unable to bring her up because of physical/financial inability or re-marriage etc. Such girls are also accommodated. In some cases, a stranded child is brought here by police.
